We are over three months into this journey, and I cannot be more proud of my children.
Right now they are returning from several days of ministering in the bush.
They will be tired, thankful for a hot shower and their soft beds, and some good home cooking'.
We will be thrilled to hear their tales and hold them close.
We have always been an extremely close family, but living here has brought us even closer.
We are even starting to look more alike, people always tell me Michael looks just like me, and Emily like Gary...Ha! Our children made great sacrifice to come here, like giving up football, friends and grandparents.
They never complain, they have become my heroes.
They are focused on the dream, and all the work that goes with it. They are excelling in school, and serving this community.
I don't know that I could have done this at their ages.
They each have a dream and a destiny apart from us, and we are trying to help them find it, and then release them into it. I am grateful for all the time we spent together when they were very small, time is going so fast, and soon they will have their own families.
We are encouraging them to "tithe" their teenage years to the Lord, and watch in amazement to what blessings their 20's and 30's hold. I am so grateful to be their mother, and cherish every moment with them, it is truly my greatest honor. Thank you for covering them in your prayers, we can feel it.
(above the "twins" Michael and Noah, and to the right, Alexis, Emily, Noah and Caleb at the beach in Durban last week.....Africa is very beautiful, as you can see, there is so much here, I can't believe we get to live here! We have only scatched the surface...
