I have been chatting with a friend this last month.
Her marriage met a storm she did not think she could survive.
Both she and her spouse were at the end.
  They were overwhelmed, exhausted, discouraged.
They loved their children, they still believed in the “dream” of a perfect family, but they were almost taken out by their current circumstances…. In talking and praying with them I knew this was all spiritual, a full on attack from the enemy to destroy the family they had worked so hard to create.
I cried with her, prayed for her through out the night.
I listened closely to what the Lord was whispering to me about her life, and encouraged her accordingly when we spoke.
Things got much worse, the discouragement was closing in.
I knew God’s will for this family was to be over-comers, I knew He wanted the marriage and the children involved to be victorious.
I knew He had plans for their future, and was developing a testimony that would minister to countless others in the future…But each day the darkness closed in, the war heated up, and my friends were being tormented…

Wise counsel was necessary, prayer covering was vital…but a full on visitation was necessary to turn this family to future that God had for them…and that is exactly what happened.
I prayed on and off for days for my friends, I spent one night nearly sleepless bringing this family before the throne….the next several days I was hit with my own tormenting storm, and became totally focused on my own family.
I was discouraged, sad and overwhelmed when my phone rang.
It was my sweet friend with her endearing southern drawl, her voice was light, and full of excitement…”Lisa”, she said, “you will not believe what happened”. What followed was the most real, dramatic, genuine visitation of the Lord to one of His children I had ever heard of.
The attack came to them one night, and in near hopelessness they hit their knees and began to pray…they saw the demons leave with tails between their legs, and a holy presence fill the room…they continued to pray until all demonic presence left, and angels took their place…they could barley stand in the presence of God, they were overwhelmed with love and forgiveness, and their marriage and family was completely healed and restored.
I wept at the mere description of it, the spirit of God was in this, and no one could deny it.
The anxiety and anguish had left this young mother, and in its place was the PEACE of God.
I fell to my own knees listening to her description of their miracle, being ministered to by the Holy Spirit, whispering to me, “Lisa, I love your family this much as well, I AM the same God”…

Interesting, I would have done anything to serve this family, and their miracle ended up blessing me more than words could speak.

Our God is a huge and all knowing, all powerful God…we should never really be surprised at His miracles….

  1. This was beautiful, Praise God for your sincerity, love and wonderful counseling ability God has blessed you with. We love you Mom and Dad

  2. Our women’s group is just wrapping up the Beth Moore book, Believing God, one of the most powerful reads
ever on the availability of supernatural power and pure divine love of our Lord. This was the perfect wrap to our study; I have forwarded it
    to my group!

Praise God for his miraculous, powerful intervention. Great case in point that we must never stop believing and reaching for God, even when our negative circumstances scream surrender.

God bless you, Lisa, for going to bat for your friends. This is why I love you so very much, my precious friend.
