Continued from yesterday’s blog from my daughter, whose heart has been stirred by the World Race:
After
two fun months, Debrief came. It all darkened our hearts. I remember
going to dinner with my family, Chadwick, and Erin at the Rustic
Tavern. We went around the table and shared what we loved about Chad
and Erin. The reality that they were leaving began to sink in. We got to
Alabanza the next day.
During debrief, I got rocked. It was so
beautiful to have a bunch of believers worshiping God in a freezing cold
barn! There is something about Godly people that make you want to be
more godly yourself.
The girls put me and Emma through initiation as
well, we got the mattresses from our cabin and walked them over to the
girls cabin. That was laugh-out-loud funny.
We looked like fugitives
crossing the Mexican border. I was the burrito, Emma was the taco, and
Erin was the taco salad.
When
they left, tears rolled down my eyes. I was so sad. I told them I would
see them in China.
They really had an effect on me and made me anxious to go on
the World Race myself. They really showed me what it as like to be a
woman of God, and how men of God look.
I
would love to see them in China for Debrief. But I have no money, I
need about 2,000 dollars. If you would like to donate to a poor Black
child, it would be much appreciated.
If you want to give to Alexis, contact Gary.
