Ever since I moved to
Africa, God has given me the gift of teaching and patience.
God
told me, through my parents, that I was supposed to be a preschool
teacher. One day my mom and I were talking about my future.

And I
wasn’t very sure what to say. I didn’t really want to go to college, I
just wanted to finish high school and be a missionary, get married and
all. But my mom felt something missing there; she said that at the care
points I was always very good with the kids and a patient babysitter
back in the States and good with kids Noah’s age.

She said that God
told her that I am supposed to become a preschool teacher, so I went
home and prayed about it, and it clicked!

We both knew that that was
God and what was supposed to happen. So I began. I actually started the
next week at the “Field of Dreams” Nsoko care point.

There was a World Race team back there and, Esther, one of the girls on the team was
leading the teaching stuff there.

We started to get together and she
set me up with days I could come down to the care point and teach.

I
began to make flash cards and things that would help the kids learn
easy and fast. It has just been so awesome painting this picture that
God has planned for my life.

I recently met a young woman named Katie
and she went down with us one day to field of dreams.

Let me tell you,
she is amazing! She knows like a billion songs for the kids and is
learning SiSwati, she is so awesome with the kids and she is going to
help me teach the kids.

God is amazing and moving here, every step we
take, he’s there and proving his glory to us all!

I love how clearly he is revealing himself to me and teaching me to teach others!
